"The Word of YAHUWAH is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

    "The Sword of the Spirit," Paul tells us is  "the Word of YAHUWAH." Eph 6:17

    One edge of the Sword is the Holy Spirit, the other edge is the Scriptures, the Word of YAHUWAH, they go together, and is a sharp two-edged Sword.  Without the Holy Spirit we cannot rightly divide the Word of Truth.  YAHUSHUA tells us that the Holy Spirit "will guide you into all truth." John 16:13

    Again the two-edged sword is seen in the ensigns of Simeon and Levi.  Israel said "Simeon and Levi are brethren instruments of cruelty are in their habitation." Genesis 49:5, the margin reads, "Their swords are weapons of violence."  The ensign of Simeon is the sword, the ensign of Levi is the Word of YAHUWAH.

    The Holy Spirit is represented to us by symbols and figures such as a Dove (Luke 3:22), Oil (Zechariah 4:6, 12, 14 margin) Flames (Acts 2:3), the Finger of Elohim (Luke 11:20 & Matt. 12:28), and the Sword (Eph. 6:17).

    In the book of Revelation, John said that  "out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword." Revelation 1:16.  See also Revelation 2:12, 16 & 19:15, 21.

    Remember how after the crucifixion YAHUSHUA appeared unto His disciples when the doors were shut for fear of the Jews?  "YAHUSHUA stood in the midst, and said unto them, Shalom be unto you.  And when He had so said, He shewed them His hands and His side.  Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Master.  Then said YAHUSHUA to them again, Shalom be unto you: as My Father has sent Me, even so send I you.  And when He said this, He breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit." John 20:19-22.  Notice that the Holy Spirit came from His mouth.

    Some are in denial of the Sword, the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Elohim.  Because of such views, they cannot see the Holy Spirit involved in Creation of this world.  But its there, the Sword has been there all along.

    Psalm 33:6 again shows the same two-edged Sword of Ephesians 6:17,

    "By the Word of YAHUWAH were the heavens made; and all the hosts of them by the breath of His mouth." 

    Notice the word  "breath", in Hebrew is Ruach, the same word that is translated "spirit".  Compare Job 17:1 margin, 27:3 margin.  The spirit of His mouth.

    A wise man once wrote concerning the Holy Spirit, "I came out of the mouth of the most High, and covered the earth as a mist." Ecclesiasticus 24:3 margin

    "The Spirit of Elohim hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life." Job 33:4

  The Sword is Coming!

   The sword is a symbol of Judgment, as sayeth the Scriptures, "If I whet My glittering sword, and My hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to Mine enemies, and will reward them that hate Me." Deuteronomy 32:41

    "Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment." Job 19:29

    "By fire and by His Sword will YAHUWAH plead with all flesh: and the slain of YAHUWAH shall be many." Isaiah 66:16

    "In that day YAHUWAH with His sore and great and strong Sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." Isaiah 27:1

    Paul also said that the state or government  "is a minister of Elohim to thee for good.  But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of Elohim, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." Romans 13:4

   In old time, the Jews did not believe the prophets, nor would they hear the word of YAHUWAH.  Jehoiakim even took a penknife and cut the Scriptures.

    YAHUWAH said, "Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,  . . . and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof." Jeremiah 25:9

    Is it any different today?  We are repeating the history of the Jews!  Today the chosen people do not believe His prophets! Especially Moses!  They cut the Scriptures or the statutes, calling one portion essential and the other non-essential, and will not hear the principles of the ten commandments, which principles are amplified in Exodus 21-23 and repeated in Deuteronomy.   "The book that is to judge him [Satan] and his followers, he puts back into the shade, just where he wants it." Early Writings p. 265.  Satan puts it in the shade by calling the statutes shadowy.   "These statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten commandments.  They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of ( Messiah)." Advent Review & Sabbath Herald May 6, 1875

    Therefore I see the sword coming!  Concentration camps for His people, to bring about repentance!  "For I knew that they would not hear Me: because it is a stiff-necked people: but in the land of their captivities they shall come to themselves.  And they shall praise Me in the land of their captivity, and think upon My name.  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, to be their Elohim, and they shall be My people: and I will no more drive My people of Israel out of the land that I have given them."  Baruch 2:30 margin, 32, 35

    Then as in old time, the captivity shall be turned, the call will sound  "Come out of her My people", to repair and restore "the old paths, where is the good way," Jer 6:16.  The old forgotten truths.

    "Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee; when I have bent Judah for Me, and filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man." Zechariah 9:12, 13
