The Looney Sabbaths
One of
the main reasons that I have not written much about the Lunar sabbaths, is
because I felt that if folks allow themselves to be yanked out of the
everlasting covenant that easy by the Lunar sabbath doctrine, they deserved
to be deceived.
Here
is the Big Gun from Scripture that blew holes in the Looney sabbath
doctrine. #1) The weekly cycle began without a Moon, or a Sun for that
matter, which means that the moon does not govern the weekly cycle. The
moon was not created until the fourth day (Gen. 1:14-16). Which means that
the earth turning on its axes was the only thing needed to begin the weekly
cycle. Need a second witness don’t you? Well Ok, “Upon the fourth day
thou commanded that the Sun should shine, and the Moon give her light, and
the planets should be in order.” II Esdras 6:45. Now some folks say that
the moon is not a light, that it just reflects light. This argument is so
hoky! Again Scripture blows it away! “And Elohim made two great lights; the
greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule by night: the
stars also.” Ver.16. The Psalms clarify what these lights are that rule the
day and night, in case you couldn’t figure it out! “The sun to rule the day
. . . the moon and stars to rule by night.” Ps. 136:9. There you have it!
This argument alone blows away the Looney Sabbaths. But here is some more.
#2) The
Lunar sabbath belief is that the 8th, 15th, 22nd,
and 29th day of every Lunar month is a Sabbath. Somebody forgot
to inform YAHUWAH of this when He was in the cloudy pillar. Check it out
for yourself! The cloudy pillar ignored the 15th day of the
month as a Sabbath, because YAHUWAH caused the children of Israel to carry
all their burdens on that day in their jouney. Here’s the quote: “All the
children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, . . . ON
the fifteenth day of the second month.” Ex. 16:1
Do you
realize how good this quote is? This quote is as good as if it said that
the Sabbath was on the 12th day of the month. Because it shows
that the 15th day of the month was not a Sabbath. If the 15th
day would have been a Sabbath the cloudy pillar would have rested and the
children of Israel would have rested and not carried all their burdens on
that day. But the cloudy pillar caused them to labor that day. I suggest
we follow the cloudy pillar and not Satan’s whirlwinds full of dirt and
mire. Another Big Gun Scriptural argument that blows holes in the Looney
sabbaths belief!

“And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after haShabbat
(the seventh-day Sabbath), from the day that ye brought the wave offering;
seven Sabbaths shall be complete (49 days). Even unto
the morrow (next day) after the seventh
Sabbath will you number fifty days.” Lev. 23:15, 16
No
matter how you slice it, according to the Looney Sabbath doctrine, you will
have numbered 50 days BEFORE you can get seven Sabbaths,
because once a month their Lunar week will extend to 8 or 9 days. You ought
to be able to figure out that the Looney sabbath folks are backwards.
YAHUWAH said “the morrow AFTER” seven Sabbaths
you will number fifty days. The Lunar-ticks number fifty days
BEFORE they get seven sabbaths. Bass ackwards ain’t it! THREE
STRIKES, YOUR OUT!!!
Now
folks in Missouri (the Show Me State) will be askin’ If the Sabbath is
always on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th
of the month, then please SHOW ME! Because we gave one account where the 15th
day was not a Sabbath, and we Showed ya!
Did
you ever notice that the fourth commandment in the Decalogue never mentioned
the weekly cycle being regulated by the moon? Or, did you ever notice that
the fourth commandment never mentioned “Remember the 8th, 15th,
22nd and 29th days of the months are Sabbaths to keep
holy.”
If you
type in Lunar Sabbaths on the internet you’ll get a host of witchcraft and
sorcery websites, AMAZING! BINGO!
The
idea that we should govern the weekly cycle by the moon is not new. Several
years ago it was brought up for consideration. The 7th, 14th,
21st and 28th of each month was their sabbath idea.
But this was easily overthrown and rejected since the Saviour died on the
Passover (which is the 14th) and the Scripture said the next day
was the Sabbath (Mark 15:42) so the creepsters had to slink off back to the
drawing board and figure out some other way of taking believers out of the
covenant. So they made the 8th, 15th, 22nd
and 29th day of each Scriptural month a sabbath. The hole thing
is written with the finger of man. The sun is a male symbol, and the moon
is a female symbol (Gen. 37:9, 10), seems to me that the lunar-ticks have
reverted back to worshipping the “queen of heaven” literally because they
hammer the truth on their anvil forcing all Scripture to fit their theory.
It becomes quite obvious that they are “not subject to the law of Elohim,
neither indeed can be.” Romans 8:7. Paul told Timothy: “In meekness
instructing those that oppose themselves; if Elohim peradventure will give
them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.” In otherwords, if we
wish to show ourselves repentant towards the Creator this can only be done
by acknowledging the truth. Which means being subject to what Scripture
says.
I believe the reason folks
pipe into the “lying wonders” of the Looney sabbaths is because they
“received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this
cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion, that they might believe a
lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had”
their own “pleasure on My holy day” (II Thess. 2:9-12 & Isa. 58:13.
“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Set-Apart.” Ex. 20:8
