The Gunpowder Plot

"The conspiracy of English Roman Catholics to blow up parliament and King James I, his queen, and his oldest son on November 5, 1605.  The leader of the plot, Robert Catesby, together with his four co-conspirators- Thomas Winter, Thomas Percy, John Wright, and Guy Fawkes--were Roman Catholics angered by James's refusal to grant more religious toleration to Catholics." Encyclopedia Britannica [under Gunpowder Plot, see also under Guy Fawkes]

The Encyclopedia Britannica sort of tones down the story of course so that the Catholic hierarchy is not blamed, they localize the story to only English Catholics.

"In the spring of 1605 the conspirators rented a cellar that extended under the palace at Westminster.  There, Fawkes, who had been fighting in the Spanish Netherlands, concealed at least 20 barrels of gunpowder.  The conspirators then separated until the meeting of Parliament.

"In the interim the need for broader support persuaded Catesby to include more conspirators.  One of these, Francis Tresham, warned his Catholic brother-in-law Lord Monteagle not to attend Parliament on November 5, and Monteagle alerted the government to the plot.  Fawkes was discovered in the cellar on the night of November 4-5 and under torture revealed the names of the conspirators.  Catesby, Percy, and two others were killed while resisting arrest, and the rest were tried and executed (Jan. 31, 1606).

"The plot bitterly intensified Protestant suspicions of Catholics and led to the rigorous enforcement of the recusancy law, which fined those who refuse to attend Anglican services.  In January 1606 Parliament established November 5 as a day of thanksgiving.  The day, known as Guy Fawkes Day, is still celebrated with bonfires, fireworks, and the carrying of  "guys" through the streets." Enc. Britannica

It has come to my ears that King James was a catholic himself.  If this were true then why did King James not grant religious toleration to Roman Catholics?  This accusation is simply not true, King James fought on the side of the Protestant cause.  In fact all the wars between France and Britain were religious holy wars.  France is a catholic country, it is the harbor of Jesuits.  It is where Ignatius Loyola got things started.  It was France that put the church in power in 538, and took them out of power in 1798.  It was because of the influence of the Protestant expose of Roman Catholicism, that the papacy received its deadly wound.

Scripture says the wound was caused  "by a sword" Rev.13:14, this sword was the King James Version, which had its influence in the cause of Protestantism.

Really it was the King James Version of the Bible that worried the Devil and the Catholic church more than anything.  It was 1582 that the English Catholic version (known as the Douay) came out, but it was known that King James and crew were working on a translation that would give  "such a blow unto that man of sin, as will not be healed." The Epistle Dedicatory of the KJV.

Only the King James Version has "Elijahu" in the margin.  The main clue for knowing the original sacred name, translators hid it in the very story where Elijah asked the question "How long halt ye between two opinions? if YAHUWAH be Elohim, follow Him: but if the Baal (meaning Lord Hosea 2:16 margin KJV) then follow him." I Kings 18:21.

Revelation 22:14;  "Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life."  The Catholic versions reads: "Blessed are they who wash their robes that they may have right to the tree of life."

Only the King James Version helps people understand the language controversy.

The translators showed the contrast between the Hebrew Old Testament names and the Greek New Testament names.  Such as Noah vs. Noe, Hosea vs. Osee,  Judah vs. Jude, Korah vs. Core etc.  The translators were unbiased about the Saviours original name, they just translated what was there.  They were consistent, they even called Joshua  "Jesus" in Acts 7:45 & Hebrews 4:8.  The translators left it for you to figure out.  Was the Messiah an Hebrew or a Greek? The translators  put "Jehoshua" in Num 13:16 & I Chr. 7:27, which the new versions only have "Joshua", so that you won't see part of the sacred name in this name.

The Devil hates the King James Version more than any other, because it is so sharp.  The sharper, the better, the quicker folks get convictions and see their need to repent.  Which causes Satan to loose his subjects.

The Bible calls this Catholic church by its right name, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."  The Gunpowder Plot was an example of the  ABOMINATIONS that she attempted to pull off.
